Finding Purpose, Strength, and Wisdom in Your Assignments.
David, Esther, Nehemiah, and Paul partnered with God and His people. They were willing to make hard choices and sacrifices and listen to God. They were doers and hearers of the word of God. Their obedience and prayers yielded fruit and a relationship with God.
This allowed them to endure difficult times. Like Job, they continued to put their trust in God. I believe God wants to build you up to become a warrior in your life, to help those in your family, community and the places that He sends you.
The Why’s
Have you ever asked God, “Why am I here? Why am I going through this? Why am I going there?”
You should always seek His face as He promotes you and entrusts you with His people and spaces. You have to make an an assessment of yourself and those around you and take inventory of your atmosphere. You need to be the first to know what is going on around you. This allows you to inquire with God and pray through these situations until God gives you an answer or your prayers are answered.
Prayer and Fasting
Prayer and fasting give you the discipline to complete each assignment. They help you to see God’s heart and why you need to partner with Him. You will begin to see that He is with you in every battle and you do not go in it alone. He has many obedient children around you to support your mission through prayer, resources, strategy, and wisdom . He will always go with you.
For the Lord, your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. Deuteronomy 20:4
Patterns in your assignments
You will begin to see the patterns in your assignments and understand what is required of you.
Gideon, Othniel, Samson, Elijah, and David knew how to partner with God especially when the Spirit of the Lord came upon them.
As you learn to depend on the Spirit of God to guide you, He increases your capacity.
I believe it is through this process that you learn to hear Him, to trust Him and have increased faith because you know His word is the truth.
He is building an ambassador and a strong vessel that cannot be shaken by the storms of life but is a pillar in their community.
I encourage you to seek God’s face for why you are in your current assignment and how He intends to use it for His glory.
Remember to wait on Him and not give up. Somethings take time to grow and we know that all things work together for those that love the Lord and obedience is greater than sacrifice.

Wisdom in assignments
When God chooses you as an ambassador of change, you may experience trials along the way.
He also makes you wiser than your enemies.
God will always prepare you for each assignment.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16
The lessons and revelations will make you stronger and bring you close to Him.
Your ability to withstand the battle will reveal the nature of your heart and level of faith.
The main goal in the assignment is for God to get the glory, as it is no longer you will lives but Christ who lives in you.

Battle plan
It is important that you always have a battle plan for difficult moments and situations.
The battle plan will help you to stay the course.
You may choose to fast, and dedicate an amount of days in which you will fast and pray over the issues.
It is important that you identify the sin, the habits, hurt, and what the word of God says about it.
What area needs a urgent prayer strategy in your life and for those around you?
What do you need to partner with God in praying?
What is your action plan?
Pray through this issue and not about it. Be consistent and allow the Holy Spirit to pray through you.
You don’t drop the ball on your assignment.
Your emotions should not stop you from keeping your eyes on Jesus.
A God battle plan will keep you centered on your goals.
When things get hard, you need to continue holding onto the hem of His garment because you know that He is with you.
God always has a lesson or a means to build on your character.
He will make everything work out for your good.
God will always send someone to assist you if you need them.
This is why you should always pray and never give up.
As you pray, angels are ascending and descending.
There is nothing that is too impossible or too BIG.
You do your part and God will certainly do His part.
Encouragement from the Word
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57
He told them, “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt.
4 Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.
5 If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”
6 So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere. Mark 6:8-12
God knows the beginning to the end.
Then Elijah said to them, “I am the only one of the Lord’s prophets left, but Baal has four hundred and fifty prophets.
23 Get two bulls for us. Let Baal’s prophets choose one for themselves, and let them cut it into pieces and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. I will prepare the other bull and put it on the wood but not set fire to it.
24 Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord. The god who answers by fire—he is God.”
1 Kings 18:22-24

Your steps are ordered
You will see that there are more with you than those that are not with you.
When you have a relationship with God, you will know He is with you wherever you go.
He did it for Joshua, and He will do the same for you.
God will make every path straight.
He was with Nehemiah when he had to build the wall, and he chose not to give up.
What is it that you can build if you do not give up?
When the enemy comes in like a flood, you know and trust that the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard within you.
This reminds me of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who refused to bow down.
As long as you keep your ears to heaven and live in the Spirit, you know that His fire will not run out but purify you.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10 NIV).
You have to choose the things that bring life and not succumb to the enemy.
It is important to stay in God’s presence.
He will strengthen you and reveal the purpose and wisdom for your assignments.
You have what it takes to push past, the painful and difficult moments.
I want to leave you with this question: “What do you want to see in your area of influence?”
You can do it!
You must decide what standing up for Christ means in your assignment.
It is not rebellion but obedience and a burden to see heaven released in your area of influence.
This may mean letting go of somethings, adapting and choosing to let him transform you.
If He gives you the grace for difficult spaces, remember that He is with you, and you can depend on Him.
You can stand strong and be a trailblazer in these places.
It is important you establish yourself as a peacemaker and stand up for truth.
May you always use your authority and pray without ceasing.
Fasting will help you so pray until you see the will of God in your area of influence and complete your assignment.
You have the ability to run and win.
Be encouraged, and always know that He watches over you.

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus,
I know you have a great plan for my life that involves building with you.
When I look at the things you put in my heart, I can easily see how impossible it can be to achieve this goal.
I now realize that I am not doing it in my own strength.
I need your Spirit to lead me and guide me.
As you did for Gideon, Othniel, Samson, Elijah, David, Esther, Nehemiah, and Paul,
I have the mustard seed faith and willing to let your Spirit lead me.
I believe and will move and partner with you in ___________ assignment.
I thank you in advance for the alignment, capacity, manpower, and resources to do your will.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Look inside yourself. What do you know God has said to you? What is your passion? What makes you happy? What makes you angry? What excites you? The answers to these questions will help you know the assignment God has placed within you. Mark Dreistadt
